Prayer:

Prayer: Builds the foundation for all our work in Hopi and beyond.

Building trust relationships

We need to build trust relationships that give us credibility in native communities.  We don't want to come into their land and assume that God is not in their land or to tell them that all of their culture is evil.  We want to live among them and learn before judging their culture and their ways.  We want to stay and ask for the Creator's love and mercy and justice and peace to come and touch the people in deeper ways so that the people may have a good life.  We need to be slow to speak and work and help where the help is needed and not invent our own programs.  One of the ways of bringing help is to have a training center to raise up those who want to work more sensitively among our Native friends.

Training:

Training: Going beyond basic discipleship to build leaders with godly character.

Presenting Good News

Wisely presenting Jesus Christ, as Saviour of the world, within varying native  contexts.  This means repenting for the church for bringing the white gospel and to champion the cutural aspects which would honor Christ- songs, dances, ceremonies etc.

Sending:

Sending: Instilling the high value of bringing the Good News to all the world.

Multiplying:

God has multiplied friendships for YWAM Tribalwinds by having the Hopi believers go with us to share their stories to the Hawaiians in Hawaii and to the Aboriginals in Australia, to the Micronesians in the islands of Pohnpei and Chukk and to the Jews and Palestinians in Israel. The Lord has multiplied friendships and brought students from Ireland, Germany, France, Switzerland, Sweden, and Japan. We have so many beautiful Native friends not just in Hopi but all across U.S. as well as all around the world!
